Study Finds Divorce is Bad for Health, Divorce Records Website Comments
Chicago, Ill. (Vocus) September 2, 2009
A study scheduled to be released this month finds that having a divorce record or being widowed may have lingering and detrimental impact on health, even after remarriage. DivorceRecords.net, a divorce records website that offers a stress free way for people to search for county divorce records, comments on the findings.
The study, to be published in the September issue of the Journal of Health and Social Behavior, analyzed data from approximately 9,000 adults nationwide ranging in ages between 51 and 61. The study found that those with a divorce record or had been widowed suffered 20% more chronic health conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes or cancer, than individuals who were currently married.
Experts find that a divorce record or a traumatic disruption in the family can lead to depression, anxiety and other psychological illnesses. Not even getting remarried is enough to reverse the physical and mental disruption. Researchers have reported for years that marriage has health benefits, but there has not been clear evidence on whether there is a different health impact on whether a spouse is lost through divorce or death.
Experts do not recommend ruling out divorce in a bad or abusive marriage solely for health reasons because health benefits of a divorce are better than that of staying in a bad situation. However, it is recommended to consult a physical and mental health professional while considering or going through a divorce.
DivorceRecords.net recommends seeking professional help to rebuild a marriage before considering divorce. If the most reasonable option is divorce, this website provides stress free access to county divorce records to ease the process.

Hey, just looking around some blogs, seems a pretty nice platform you are using. I’m currently using WordPress for a few of my sites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it?
