Republic of Liberia’s New AIDS Prevention Initiative

Republic of Liberia’s New AIDS Prevention Initiative

(PRWEB) March 16, 2005

The Republic of Liberia passed into law a bill to enact Chapter 18 of title 33 of the public health Law of the Liberian code of laws, revised, titled: “Africa AIDS plan for the Republic of Liberia.”

The Africa AIDS Plan for the Republic of Liberia sets a new model for fighting the epidemic spread of AIDS. The Plan uses a product, called, Genvia tm to help contain the epidemic spread of AIDS. Genvia prevents the HIV virus from transmitting from one person to another. The use of Genvia also empowers women for self-protection against AIDS; a first in Africa, and the world.

According to recent reports, unless new anti-AIDS initiatives are taken, Africa’s death toll from AIDS could rise to over 80 million,by 2025. UNAIDS predicts a cost of nearly $ 200 billion is needed to stop what could be called the world’s first “AIDS tsunami”.

The Africa AIDS Plan was created by Samuel C. Evans. Dr. Evans said, “with an investment of $ 3-$ 5 billion, the Africa AIDS Plan could stop the spread of AIDS in as little as two years.”

A group of businessmen, led by Sawyer Bynam of Houston, Texas, formed the Africa AIDS Fund, a non-profit organization to raise money to help Africa end the AIDS crisis.
