Medical Conference Draws Leaders From Across The Nation Focused On Improving Health Care For Future Generations
Dallas, TX (Vocus/PRWEB) April 01, 2011
Dallas, Texas based EmCare® staffs and manages emergency, inpatient, anesthesiology and radiology departments at more than 500 hospitals nationwide. On April 6-8, the company will bring together nearly 600 physicians, certified registered nurse anesthetists, physician assistants and nurse managers at the company’s 24th Annual Leadership Conference to be held at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center. Attendees will be focused on how they can improve clinical quality, efficiency and patient satisfaction during a time when health care reform promises to add more than 30 million insured individuals by 2014 to an already over-burdened health care system. Prominent health care futurist Joe Flower will deliver the keynote address in which he will predict what health care, access to health care and health care delivery will look like in the years ahead.
EmCare Chief Medical Officer Dighton Packard feels the future will be a challenge. “Significant shortages of physicians and nurses already exist nationwide and medical schools are unable to keep pace with growth in case volume,” he said. “The solution then is to focus on identifying and eliminating inefficiencies. EmCare’s leaders are on the front lines in health care facilities from coast-to-coast and are constantly suggesting innovative ways of thinking, and new procedures, to make health care more efficient without compromising quality patient care.”
Dozens of sessions will take place over the three day conference on topics ranging from leadership to technology to patient throughput to telemedicine to improving patient satisfaction.
The conference represents the 2nd largest gathering of emergency medicine physicians in the nation and is open only to EmCare affiliated personnel and their guests.
EmCare is a leading provider of outsourced physician services. In 2010, EmCare affiliated clinicians provided care to more than nine million patients. Founded nearly 40 years ago, EmCare is a subsidiary of Emergency Medical Services Corporation. Visit the company’s Web site at http://www.EmCare.com.
