InVitria’s Better Ingredients for Better Media to be Showcased at BPI ’09
Fort Collins, CO (PRWEB) October 1, 2009
As conference exhibitor and poster presenter, InVitria will highlight the recent launch of two new products — Zap-CHO and Optiferrin. These products add to InVitria’s product line and will be part of its “Better Ingredients for Better Media” promotion at BPI ’09.
InVitria’s media supplements are gaining significant traction in the cell culture media and biomanufacturing industry and will be on display at BioProcess International Conference and Exhibition in Raleigh, North Carolina, October 12-16.
Further, InVitria will be hosting a pizza party where attendees can learn more about InVitria’s completely animal free and high performance product line. Visitors to InVitria’s exhibit booth #1011 can pick up an invitation to the pizza party and learn more about InVitria’s exciting product line.
Zap-CHO
Zap-CHO is a defined and animal free CHO (Chinese hamster ovaries) cell culture supplement capable of replacing fetal bovine serum (FBS) while still maintaining maximum cell performance. Zap-CHO is also an alternative to using hydrolysates in cell culture media optimization because it is a well-defined supplement which reduces variability and production failures. Zap-CHO is ideal for use with commercial, chemically-defined and serum- and animal free cell culture media formulations.
Optiferrin
Optiferrin is a cell culture media supplement which supports cell growth by regulating the amount of iron transported to the cell. Since iron is required for healthy cell culture performance, it is a critical component to reach optimal performance. InVitria’s Optiferrin is animal free, so it is a safe and effective alternative to using iron chelators and elemental iron in media formulations. InVitria customers have utilized Optiferrin to provide the essential amount of iron for optimal results.
