Centennial Contractors Enterprises, a national leader in Job Order Contracting, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Region X (Region X OSHA) have signed an Alliance establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. Through the Alliance, Centennial employees and others will be provided with information, guidance and access to training resources.

Region X OSHA and Centennial will work together to achieve several training and education goals. They will provide expertise to develop training and education programs for employees regarding fall protection, cranes and rigging, electrical safety and equipment operation hazards as well as develop workplace safety and health curricula in these areas.

Region X OSHA and Centennial will also work together to achieve outreach and communication goals that include:

Providing expertise in developing information on the recognition and prevention of workplace hazards and ways of communicating it to employers and employees in the industry.
Speaking, exhibiting, or appearing at OSHA’s or Centennial’s conferences, local meetings or other events such as Centennial’s Safety Day.
Sharing information among OSHA personnel and industry safety and health professionals regarding Centennial’s best practices or effective approaches.
Encouraging Centennial worksites’ participation in OSHA’s cooperative programs such as compliance assistance, the Voluntary Protection Programs, the On-site Consultation Program, and the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program.

Lastly, Region X OSHA and Centennial will work together to expand the national dialogue on workplace safety and health. They’ll develop and disseminate case studies illustrating the business value of safety and health and publicize their results and convene or participate in forums and round table discussions on construction safety issues to help forge innovative solutions in the workplace.

“Safety continues to be an essential part of Centennial’s overall operations and business philosophy and now our passion for safety has moved to the federal level,” said Tony Lombardi, safety director at Centennial. “We are extremely happy to enter into this exciting agreement because it affords Centennial the opportunity to impact our industry.”

Centennial and OSHA representatives will meet at least three times per year over the next three years to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance.

Great post! I?m just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well – resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case
